Other ways to give
Matching Gifts
Find out if your employer matches charitable gifts. Many employers will match charitable donations of their employees.  You may be able to double or even triple your gift to Sequoia Parks Conservancy.

Workplace Giving
You may be able to donate through your paycheck. Ask your employer. Sequoia Parks Conservancy  participates in the Combined Federal Campaign, the workplace giving program for federal government employees.

Donate by Stock, Bond, or Mutual Fund
By donating stocks, bonds or mutual funds, you can help protect the Parks while receiving tax advantages.  When you transfer ownership of stock, you receive a charitable tax deduction for its full market value and incur no capital gains tax (subject to IRS deduction limits) on shares held for at least one year.

To make a stock gift, please contact Tamara Marks, Director of Philanthropy, at 970-485-0391 or tamaram@sequoiaparks.org  so that we may properly track and acknowledge your gift.

If you own stock that is worth less now than when you bought it, it may be advantageous to sell the stock, take a capital loss on your tax return, and donate the proceeds to SPC. Consult your financial advisor first about the potential tax benefits.

Donor-Advised  Funds
Some donors choose to make their charitable gifts through donor advised funds, which allow them to give to their fund and then distribute donations at a later date. SPC gratefully accepts donations from donor-advised funds.

Real Estate
Want to make a big gift to SPC without touching your bank account? Consider giving us real estate. When you donate appreciated property you have held longer than one year, you qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction. This eliminates capital gains tax and you no longer have to deal with that property's maintenance costs, property taxes or insurance.

All donations made to the Sequoia Parks Conservancy are 100% tax-deductible. Please choose any of the methods below:
