GUIDED DAY HIKES
Take the guesswork out of planning your day in Sequoia or Kings Canyon with our local experts. Our naturalists know the tips and tricks to make your adventure a safe and memorable success. Learn about the latest in giant sequoia ecology, hear the stories of the men and women who once roamed these ancient groves, get pointers on the best photo spots, or just relax knowing that your guide has an NPS radio in case of emergency. Online ticket sales close 48 hours before tour dates. There are no in-park sales.

Moderate, both first-timers and seasoned snowshoers welcomed. Moonlit Monuments: Full Moon Snowshoe Hike
This moonlit snowshoe walk promises to extend your experience beyond the usual tourist track. We’ll venture into the night’s sparkly glow to learn about the nocturnal world of Giant Sequoia forests and experience the peace that envelops the night. Snowshoes provided. If conditions do not allow snowshoeing, we will hike the trail instead. Meeting Location(s): Grant Grove Tree parking lot, Kings Canyon National Park or Giant Forest Museum, Sequoia National Park* Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Price: $10 SPC members, $15 non-members, Group size: 15 Hike level: Moderate, great for both first-timers and seasoned snowshoers. Distance: Approximately 2-miles but may vary based on experience and physical fitness level of participants. Ages: Ages 10 and up only. Children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Trail Conditions: snow and ice conditions

Imagine the calm wonder of seeing the stars shine behind snowy Giant Sequoia trees. Join us for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of visiting the largest trees in the world by flashlight. Beat the crowds and learn about the nighttime world of Sequoia National Park with your Naturalist guide. Snowshoes provided. If conditions do not allow snowshoeing, we will hike the trail instead. Meeting Location(s): General Sherman tree winter parking lot, Sequoia National Park or General Grant tree parking lot, Kings Canyon National Park Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Price: $10 SPC members, $15 non-members, Group size: 15 Hike level: Moderate, great for both first-timers and seasoned snowshoers. Our step-on guide services for tour companies will give your clients a national park experience to awe over. Our guides specialize in telling the stories of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks from the point of view of hikers, scientists, pioneers, and explorers from yesteryear and today. Let time and landscape flow by as a Sequoia Field Institute naturalist guide narrates the beauty of this incredible place between stops. Our guides will help your tour director find the cleanest bathrooms, parking spots for the coach, and the best souvenir shopping and food options. Your clients will love the gently graded, paved walks under the big trees and the opportunities to ask guides a one-on-one question. The following six-hour options are offered May through October:
See giant sequoias and experience wilderness! This tour includes a warm welcome to the park, a guided walking tour around the General Grant Tree, and narrated tours while driving; topics include giant sequoia ecology, national park history, and Kings Canyon geology to name a few. The tour also includes time for lunch in Kings Canyon, a quick stop at Grizzly Falls, and of course ample restroom opportunities and souvenir shopping.

See two of the world’s largest trees! This tour includes a warm welcome to the park, guided walking tours around the General Grant Tree and General Sherman Tree, and narrated tours while driving; topics include giant sequoia ecology, national park history, and Native American perspectives to name a few. The tour also includes time for lunch and of course ample restroom opportunities and souvenir shopping.
