Sequoia Parks Conservancy is excited to announce that we are looking for photos for an upcoming publication on archeology in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Please read the rules below on how you can take part in this project.

Terms and Conditions
- Any photo(s) submitted to SPC must have been taken in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, must show land within Sequoia and/or Kings Canyon National Parks, or be a location listed above.
- SPC reserves the right to reject any photo for any reason. Do not submit photos that contain people. Photos with text, including copyright, watermark, or other text overlays will not be considered for the publication.
- Every photo entry that SPC receives as part of this search becomes the property of SPC. Submitting photos to SPC releases them into the public domain. SPC will have non-exclusive, unlimited use of the photo(s), and can share those rights with other agencies, organizations, media outlets, and others.
- For the SPC archeology publication, photographers will receive full photo credit within the book. For all other uses, credit may sometimes be given for photos, but people submitting photos should not expect their photos to be credited beyond the book publication.
- Your emailed submissions must include the text outlined in number 5 from the “How to Submit Your Photos” section below. Including this text shows us that you have read and understand the terms and conditions, intend to have your photo be part of the book, and understand that by submitting photos to SPC, you agree that SPC has the right to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, distribute or display and use these materials in whole or in part, for private and public purposes, in any manner or media (whether existing now or created in the future), in perpetuity, and in all languages throughout the world; these rights can be shared with other agencies, organizations, and businesses. Use of this material shall include, but not be limited to, audiovisual programs, museum exhibits, websites, publications, product artwork, and project publicity. Additionally, submitters waive the right to inspect or approve any use of the material and any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the material. Credit may sometimes be given for photos, but may not be provided for each use.
- If your photo(s) is selected to include in the archeology book, a high-resolution version of the photo(s) must be emailed to SPC (if not previously submitted). If your photo(s) is selected, you still own non-exclusive rights to the photo and may use it however you see fit.
How to Submit Your Photos
Please follow the directions below carefully.
- Compose an email to photos@sequoiaparks.org.
- Use the subject line PHOTOS FOR SPC BOOK
- Name the photos using the page numbers from the list of locations and the place shown – Ex. Page 52 Rae Lakes
- Attach your photos to the email. Please send a DropBox or Google Drive link if needed.
- Paste the text below into the body of your email in order to give consent to the terms and conditions above.
