Patricia (pictured on the left in photo) has volunteered for many SPC events including the Dark Sky Festival and the National Parks and Pastimes weekend at the Visalia Rawhide.

Why do you take the time to Volunteer for/donate to Sequoia Parks Conservancy?
"I like to volunteer because I enjoy spending time in Sequoia National Park and enjoy helping out the Sequoia Parks Conservancy in any way I can. Plus, my amazing cousin, Kourtnie, works there so anything she's a part of has to be awesome!  She has encouraged me to be a part of the volunteering team."

In what ways have you volunteered for the Sequoia Parks Conservancy?
"In 2016, I was part of the volunteer outreach team at the National Parks and National Pastimes weekend at the Visalia Rawhide and the 2016 Dark Sky Festival, walking the Giant Forest with schedules of the events happening and handing out bookmarks of Sequoia Parks Conservancy who brought that amazing festival to the parks."

Where is your favorite place in either Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Parks?
"My favorite places are Moro Rock and Sunset Rock in the Giant Forest grove. I love going on moderate hikes with a great view at the top!"

Do you have a favorite memory of an adventure in the park you’d like to share?
"When I was younger, my grandparents, John and Hattie Boeve, used to take my cousins, sisters and me up to Sequoia National Park. One time, we decided to hike up Moro Rock and about half way up, the boy cousins got scared and cried and had to go back down to hang out with my Grandma and the 'little kids'. All the girl cousins made it to the top with my Grandpa! We still remind those boy cousins every now and then- who have grown much taller and less afraid of heights now. We hope to try and do that hike together someday soon!"
