So I joined the SEKI CC, and it’s been great so far. Of course like any other thing in life, it has its ups and downs. Probably the worst part so far was being swarmed by mosquitos at Lower Paradise. However, those mosquitos weren’t able to interfere with the best part of this trip: the connections and friendships you make with other people. As a matter of fact, Jessica, from the ESCC, and I are actually planning to go on a hunting trip after the program is over. But that’s not all; the environment we work in is so amazingly beautiful that sometimes while I’m working I just have to stop to appreciate what I have around me. I’ve seen deer and for the first time in my life I saw a bear in person. I kid you not a bear just passed in front of me as I was writing this. Anyway, working with/in the SEKI CC has been a really amazing experience and I hope that I’m able to do it again next year.
