Hello my name is Nestor Sanchez and I’m from Fresno EOC. My time at SEKI has been fun, challenging, and a once in a life time experience. Since I’ve been here I’ve been eating healthier, working out more, and don’t get me started about the mosquitos. Also, I’ve been working with amazing, hardworking people that I now call my friends. I don’t want to get biblical here but it has truly been a blessing working for the park and learning new things that I never even knew about. I will be heading into the back country for three weeks. I’m feeling so many emotions. Overall, when this is over, I can tell myself that I made it. I knew it was going to be difficult, I knew it was going to be hard. I had people laughing at me saying I wasn’t going to make it. There are times that I just want to give up and I thought of all the people that want me to fail. I tell myself I work hard to become a better person. Because I know I’m capable of great things and it all starts in believing in yourself. So to the person who is reading this, I want to tell you thank you for giving me the opportunity to work at the parks.
